The ConcreteHow to take Measures // TROUSERS

Measure your best-fitting pair.

Preparation

Skip the measuring tape around your waist. Instead, pick the trousers that fit you best and take their measurements. It’s the most reliable way to guarantee a cut that feels exactly how you like it.

Use a flexible tailor’s tape measure.

Button up your trousers.

Lay them perfectly flat, smoothing out wrinkles.

Waist (Double the Measurement)

  • Measure straight across the waistband, from one top corner to the other.

Double this number to get your full waist circumference (e.g., if it measures 16 inches, your waist size is 32)

Here is in cm. and is 39, so waist circunference is 78 cm. - Small size for RTW/MTO programms-

I

  • Inseam (Leg Length)
Start the tape measure at the crotch seam (where the front and back seams meet) and measure down to the bottom of the leg hem.

Since raw garments are unwashed, they are highly likely to shrink during the first wash. Please add 4 cm (1.6 inches) to your desired inseam measurement to account for this initial shrinkage and ensure a perfect long-term fit.

II

Rise (Front Rise)Measure from the same crotch seam point up to the top of the front waistband.

HipsMeasure across the widest part of the trousers, which is usually about 2.5 to 3.5 inches (6 to 8 cm.) below the zipper base. Double this number.

Here is 52 cm so hip circunference is 104 cm.

IV

ThightMeasure across the leg, starting at the crotch seam, 1–2 inches below the crotch area.

V

Leg Opening (Hem)Measure across the very bottom of the leg opening.

VI

Back RiseMeasure from the crotch seam up to the top of the back waistband.
Pull the fabric taut and follow the curve of the seam firmly for accuracy.

VII
